Fierce backlash as scores of negative comments are left on women’s rugby post announcing postponement of Six Nations

There has been fierce backlash online after a post on women’s rugby concerning the postponed Six Nations drew a number of negative responses from followers.

Earlier this week it was announced that the Six Nations would not be able to go ahead as planned this year due to coronavirus and that would have to be pushed back.

There has been a massive backlash on social media after a number of the derogatory remarks were called out.

Bristol Bears star, Alice Lockwood, was one of the first to call out the negative responses to this post which announced that the women’s rugby tournament was to be postponed earlier this week. Here was the announcement in question.
