Jaco Johan’s Twitter account’s bio has changed and it’s revealing

So Jaco Johan’s Twitter account bio has been changed, and it’s either taking the piss out of Rassie Erasmus or directly contracting the coach, depending on how you look at it.

The account was the subject of much debate earlier this week, when it appeared that it seemed to be a rather obvious burner account of Erasmus, who RT’d a video from the account using his own.

The video editing use by Jaco Johan appeared to be the same editing software as the one that Erasmus later Tweeted. That led to Rassie claiming that Jaco Johan was sending him videos to use.

“I actually follow Jaco Johan, he’s a big supporter of us. He’s been feeding me some really good clips for a while now, things that I’ve actually used in the past.

“He’s a very big supporter, a really funny guy and I quite enjoy the things that he does.

“I think I just retweeted two or three things I thought were accurate.

“And I tweeted twice just for a simple reason: as director of rugby the medical department is part of our department.”

It’s all pretty weird and the lines have blurred further.

The Twitter account bio now reads: “I am Rassie’s voice when he is to nervous to say something himself! Watch the space some good stuff on its way! #burner account.

The location given is ‘In the Springboks camp’.

Is the real Jaco pretending to play up to the idea of him a burner account or is this Rassie trying to make light of the whole situation?

It’s super confusing.

Bokke facts to mull over: Handré Pollard needs two penalty goals to equal Jackie Snyman’s record of six career penalty goals against the British & Irish Lions.
