A closer look at Craig Willis – The young Ealing rugby player that dominated Saracens

We take a closer look at the Ealing Trailfinders fly-half called Craig Willis who is a key cog in the defeat of Saracens on the weekend.

Willis is a 25-year old fly-half who has been playing his rugby at Ealing for the last 3 years.

Despite playing in the Championship, he could be considered one of the most exciting tens in England.

He came to our attention earlier last year when a highlight reel showed just how many skills the player has in his arsenal.

Ealing beat Saracens in a 27-26 win on the weekend and Craig Willis was integral in almost every single point that the London-based team scored.

The game at the weekend helps to grow his stock further, and it is an absolute travesty that we don’t get to see him play his rugby at the highest level of domestic rugby  in England.

Could a side like Bristol bears or even Gloucester look to  sign the 25-year old who is still not even at the peak of his powers?

A brilliant highlight reel was created on the player earlier last year and it really goes to show just how effective that he is.

We shall be closely monitoring the progress of Ealing Trailfinders as they  map out their plan to try and get into the Gallagher Premiership. If they continue on this run of form we could very well see them playing in that competition in the next 5 years.

Ealing have one of the strongest academies in England, and they appear to have a strong plan for the future.
