Super Rugby eclipses NRL in terms of most outrageous finish ever

Best finish ever. Crusaders wing Leicester Fainga’anuku, against all odds, has scored a miracle try in the corner against the Chiefs in Super Rugby Aotearoa.

Ironically the NRL tried hard to lure Leicester Fainga’anuku to the sport and he’s now finishing tries that would make most NRL star sick with envy.

Once upon a time the NRL had a monopoly on these insane finishes, but it seems union is once again forging ahead and taking one the last area of the game where league could boast superiority.

How on earth did he score this?

It was again some performance from the Saders, who will no doubt walk Sugby Rugby Aotearoa this season.

Head coach Scott Robertson had made a handful of changes to the team this week, following their bonus-point victory over the hurricanes, and it includes the returned of Mitchell Dunshea and Whetukamokamo Douglas to the matchday 23.

In the front row, George Bower had replaced joe moody at loosehead propped, and in the loose forwards Sione Havili Talitui also moves from the reserves to the starting team this week.
