Ma’a Nonu scores yet another sensational try in the MLR for San Diego

Legendary All Black and two time World Cup winner Ma’a Nonu was on sensational form for the San Diego Legion this weekend. This try was out the top draw! This try from Nonu in the MLR was sensational!

The 39-year-old centre still has what it takes to make it at the top as he sparked the performance that the American team needed to get the win.

The 103-test All Blacks joined the San Diego Legion in Major League Rugby, after a single year back on home shores with the Blues.

The All Black is a huge coup for the American League and it seems the hype around him is already being justified as he put on a show for the San Diego fans…

The All Black quality of Nonu appears to be rubbing off on his team as they scored this brilliant try from one end of the field to the other.

This try was scored in their match against Nola today!

It’s great to see the All Black legend doing so well in the League.

Another star centre that is is playing Major League Rugby this year is Mathieu Bastareaud, who is not enjoying the same kind of success that Nonu did on his debut.

Many commented on how large that the Frenchman had got and it seemed to many fans that he was not in the right shape even at this level.

Nonu returned to New Zealand for the 2019 Super Rugby season sparking discussion over whether or not he would be able to challenge for a spot in the All Blacks Rugby World Cup squad.

However, in 14 appearances, the 37-year-old pushed his claim in a struggling Blues outfit and but was left out in a crowded All Blacks midfield.

Major League Rugby is a new competition, founded in 2017 with its inaugural season being played in 2018.

The competition features 12 teams, with 11 from the US and one from Canada. The Seattle Seawolves have claimed the title in both seasons played to date. Nonu is scoring try after try in the MLR!

Nonu links up with ex-Hurricanes prop Chris Eves and former Waikato No8 Jordan Manihera in San Diego.
