World Rugby release ALPHA hype video on the eve of England and New Zealand’s titanic World Cup clash

The Rugby World Cup social media channel has released this alpha video montage in the build up to Saturday’s epic World Cup clash between England and…

It’s the eve of the big match between England and New Zealand, in one of the biggest one-off international matches since the 3rd Lions Test match in 2017.

Hype has been everywhere for this World Cup clash, but it appears that the Rugby World Cup social media account has put the cherry on the cake with this epic little edit that they made.

The hype has been building nicely for this clash, the first time the two teams have met in a World Cup since 1995.

These teams met on 41 previous occasions, with New Zealand winning 33 times, England seven times and one encounter being drawn.

England appears to have the past on their side. Only one northern hemisphere side has beaten the All Blacks more often than England: France (12). The British and Irish Lions have also amassed seven victories against New Zealand.

New Zealand can become the first team to defeat England four times at the World Cup. England have also had three RWC defeats against South Africa and Australia, while also having beaten those opponents.

Hype has been growing for this clash but the Rugby World Cup social media channel really took it to the next level with this video, it’s enough to make you want to get up and headbutt a wall.

The social media team there have really been on another level this World Cup and this video is no different.

Watch this video and tell us that you’re not even slightly hyped…

England are hoping to reach their fourth World Cup final, after 1991 (lost to Australia), 2003 (defeated Australia) and 2007 (lost to South Africa).

England and France are the only northern hemisphere sides to reach an RWC final. Both achieved that on three occasions. Alpha players, alpha teams, alpha atmosphere… We’re so ready!!
