Sale star’s chilling story in trailer ahead of World Mental Health Day

Ahead of World Mental Health Day on Sunday, Sale Sharks have shared a clip from a chilling interview with centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg.

The jaw-dropping story will be released in full on Sunday, but this 40 second trailer is truly captivating as the South African discusses the tragedies in his life.

The club wrote on Twitter: “To celebrate #WorldMentalHeathDay on Sunday, we sat down with Rohan Janse van Rensburg to discuss the adversities he has faced in his life, and how he overcame three huge tragedies to become the man he is today.”

“And we stopped,” the centre said.

“And all of I sudden I just hear this arguing at the back. Out of these guys I saw that one of them was obviously the leader. And he just came to my window and pointed his gun at my chest and he said ‘Listen, you’ve seen our faces, you’ve spoken to us, if we have to come back, you’re going to recognise us.’

“He said ‘Listen, we have to do this.’ And I just sat there and realised this was the end for me. Everything was great, I had a great life and basically made peace with the fact that I’m not going to be on Earth anymore. And I just sat down and started praying.”
