All Blacks shock everyone with powerful tribute to Diego Maradona during haka

It’s been an emotional week in Argentina and the intensity could be felt in the stadium ahead of this morning’s Tri Nations clash between the South American side and the All Blacks.

The two teams met in Newcastle, Australia, this morning in one of the most eagerly anticipated clashes of the year as New Zealand look to avoid three consecutive losses on the bounce.

The All Blacks shocked everyone with a touching tribute to the Argentinian football legend during their haka in a moment that is quickly going viral across South America.

The eyes of the rugby world are on this Tri-Nations clash after the Pumas historic win over the All Blacks a fortnight ago in which they secured their first-ever win over the three-time world champions.

The South American side backed up their shocking win over New Zealand with another impressive performance last week against the Wallabies in Sydney in which they earned a 15-15 draw.

The All Blacks started this morning’s Tri-Nations clash the stronger with an early try from hooker, Dane Coles in the corner.

What really got fans talking was a beautiful and unexpected moment in the lead-up to kick-off.

We see as the sides line up for the anthems with many of the cameras focusing in on the 10 Jersey of Argentina fly-half, Sanchez, in tribute to the same numbered jersey of Diego Maradona.

Here’s what New Zealand did during the haka,

We see as Los Pumas captain, Pablo Matera wipes away tears from his face as he moves to the centre of the pitch to face the All Blacks haka.

Then, we see New Zealand line up to throw down the challenge of the haka but before that they have a gesture to make to Argentina.
