Footage emerges revealing longstanding feud between Tom Curry and Bongi Mbonambi

If anyone thought the beef between England’s Tom Curry and South Africa’s Bongi Mbonambi was something new, think again.

The two players have been in the spotlight this week after Curry accused the Springboks hooker of racially abusing him during the World Cup semi-final on Saturday. Their spat did not end there either as Mbonambi refused to shake the flanker’s hand at the end of the match.

But this feud predates the match as footage of the two butting heads in a previous meeting has emerged since South Africa’s victory at the weekend. In an encounter between the two sides last year at Twickenham, a video shows both Curry and Mbonambi both grabbing each other’s shirts in what is a modern rugby fight while also shouting in each other’s faces.

Clearly there is a lot of bad blood between the two and if the events of the weekend are proven to be true, it’s unlikely that they are making up any time soon.
