FOOTAGE: Here is the video of Eddie Jones being verbally abused by Scottish fans
This is a pretty abysmal showing from fans here.
Eddie Jones was travelling back from England’s loss on Saturday to Manchester when he was greeted by drunken fans.
The Australian travelled alone in standard class on the 09:15 GMT from Edinburgh to Manchester Oxford Road on Sunday after England’s 25-13 defeat.
Jones was verbally abused outside the station after posing for a picture.
A man then opened the door of Jones’ car to direct further abuse before the driver and another man intervened.
“I’ll make sure I won’t in future. It’s as simple as that,” said Jones.
It is not clear who the men were that confronted Jones outside the station.
Scottish Rugby said on Thursday it was “appalled” by the verbal abuse suffered by the England head coach.
Clearly not all fans behaved in this manner however it is disappointing to see this kind of behaviour after a great result for the men in Blue.
The video itself has received a strong backlash online as fans and pundits alike condemn the behaviour of these fans.
