France No10s go head to head with world class solo tries
Fabien Galthie has quite a nice problem on his hands at the moment with Matthieu Jalibert pushing his favoured fly-half Romain Ntamack all the way.
Despite not playing much rugby so far this season, Ntamack was called upon for France’s tougher fixtures in the autumn, but Jalibert showed when he was on the field that he is probably the form No10 in France at the moment.
Both players probably returned to their clubs after the autumn internationals with a point to prove, and they both pulled off sensational solo tries.
Up against Perpignan on Saturday, the Bordeaux-Begles No10 Jalibert scored a sumptuous chip and chase try and 15 points, albeit in a losing effort.
Well, Ntamack was not going to be shown up like that and a day later scored a very similar try himself, this time a grubber kick rather than a chip. This was also in a losing effort though.
