Latest gym pic show Ireland’s Bundee Aki looking outrageously jacked before RWC

Is any team more prepared for the World Cup next month than Ireland? It is one thing looking well prepared as a team, but some of their players are in such good condition they could compete at Mr Olympia as well.

All 102kg of Bundee Aki is surely coming first if Andy Farrell decides to stage an impromptu bodybuilding contest in camp, and the latest gym pictures shared by Ireland prove it.

The centre was pictured in the gym with 37.5kg dumbbells in each hand sporting arms that are about the same size as teammate Craig Casey. It even looks like the Irish social media team decided to douse the Connacht back in water to make the shot even more epic. No one knows if Ireland approach every gym session as if they are part of a Men’s Health photoshoot, but one thing is for sure- Aki would make front cover.

Teams can often be criticised for spending too much time in the gym and not enough time on the training paddock, but after dismantling England 29-10 in first gear on Saturday, they have probably got the balance right.

After a try scoring performance against England last Saturday, Aki has been given the week off against Samoa this weekend by Farrell, probably with the order of trying to tack some mass onto his scrawny arms.
