Lumbering All Blacks humiliated by flying Wallabies lock

For those that did not know, Australia and Brumbies lock Nick Frost has some wheels. Some serious wheels.

The 23-year-old bagged two tries on Friday against the Hurricanes in Wellington, but the second was freakishly impressive.

After intercepting a loose kick from Aidan Morgan on his own 22, Frost went on to produce something literally no one expects from a lock. He initially burst past the Hurricanes defence who were all running the opposite direction, but with a number of players, including All Blacks Ardie Savea and Jordie Barrett, pursuing him, it looked as though he was going to be caught fairly quickly. Instead, he just kept accelerating, to the point where no player got anywhere near him.

It was a 120kg lock sprinting as quick as most wingers would. Then again, given his 6ft 9in frame, he eats up the ground for fun. The commentary team actually said he held some speed records earlier in his career when playing in New Zealand for Canterbury, and that comes as no surprise.

Despite Frost’s heroics, the Hurricanes still came away 32-27 winners.
