Beauden Barrett claws back All Blacks place with world class moment of magic

One week after Beauden Barrett had a game to forget against the Chiefs, the All Black bounced back on Saturday against the Rebels.

The Blues cruised to a 54-17 win at AAMI Park, with the No10 lighting up the game in the second half with a moment of pure magic when creating a try for winger Mark Telea.

The try saw Barrett kick twice, with one chip over the defensive line and another perfectly weighted grubber for his All Blacks teammate to run on to and score.

Barrett faces a battle with Richie Mo’unga to see who will wear the black No10 jersey later this year at the World Cup, and it looked as though he had been losing some ground against his rival from the Crusaders in the opening weeks of the season. The passage of play against the Rebels is a reminder of what he is capable of and what he brings to New Zealand.
