Capuozzo fires warning to Wales with world class finish

Wales will travel to Rome in the penultimate weekend of the Six Nations looking for revenge after losing to Italy in Cardiff last year, but their tormentor Ange Capuozzo might have other ideas.

The 23-year-old was sensational at the Principality Stadium last year, and produced one of the moments of the year when he assisted Edoardo Padovani’s try at the death. The fullback went on to terrorise Australia in November as Italy recorded their first ever win over the Wallabies as well.

Well the Toulouse fullback sent a timely reminder to Wales, and indeed the rest of the Six Nations, that they should be on high alert again with two tries against the reigning Top 14 champions Montpellier on Sunday, but it was his second that was particularly impressive.

In Toulouse’s 23-9 win at the Stade Ernest Wallon, the Italian sealed the win with his second try with some world class acrobatics.
