Inexcusable faux pas could tear Bok front row apart
Never before has a player shown such a disregard for the Front Row Union than South Africa hooker Malcolm Marx, who broke one of their golden rules recently.
Props Steven Kitshoff and Vincent Koch were the unlucky victims in the gym this week, as Marx did to them what no one should do to a prop. The hooker snuck up from behind while the players were doing side planks and lifted up their shirts. Not only was that something that neither Kitshoff or Koch wanted to happen, but it was also something that no one else on Earth wanted to see. It is bad enough from any player, but it is almost criminal from a fellow front row.
In some parts of the world it is actually considered bad luck to expose a prop’s belly, and the Springbok front row has already suffered its fair share of bad luck in the build up to their clash with Australia on Saturday, with Ox Nche having to pull out of the starting XV with a pectoral injury, and Kitshoff replacing him.
