Malcolm Marx saves PSDT’s life with stunning feat of strength

It must be something with South African front rows, as Malcolm Marx pulled off a feat of strength against the Wallabies that was made famous by his former teammate Tendai ‘The Beast’ Mtawarira.

That of course is being able to prevent their teammate from falling backwards after being lifted to take a kick off. The Beast did it a couple of times across his career, and Marx joined in on this lifesaving move in Adelaide after lifting all 120kg of Pieter-Steph du Toit.

The one man life went wrong, and du Toit began to fall backwards, but Marx was able to keep hold of his shorts and hold him upside down, preventing what could have been a massive injury.
