New video shows what caused the mega rugby brawl between Leicester & Bristol
New footage has shown exactly what happened in the ill fated brawl which broke out between Leicester Tigers and Bristol Bears last weekend.
A video obtained by GDD Coaching & Analysis shows a purely wide-angle camera show, revealing exactly what happened in the final minutes of the match.
Originally, what fans saw was both teams brawling after John Afoa seemed to nudge a player after the final whistle.
We’ve never seen anything quite like this…
Bristol Bears’ replacement tight-head prop was shown a yellow card with no time left.

However, new footage and audio now makes it look like Bristol Bears may have used the laws to ensure the win for their side.
From the audio that Geraint Davies’ video shows, you can clearly see Leicester Tigers head coach Steven Borthwick complaining that Pat Lam said his player was injured before he returned him to the field of play.
This proves that Pat Lam told the referee and officials that he was injured, despite the fact that this was not true.
Are Bristol Bears phoneys?
