Rugby stars have suddenly started taking part in this challenge
Dozens of rugby stars have taken to social media this week to aid in a rugby fundraiser which we have never seen to like of before ever.
Countless rugby stars such as Kyle Sinckler, Elliot Daly, Will Carling, Will Greenwood, Jonny Wilkinson, Joe Marler have all taken part in this challenge and it is going truly viral online.
The challenge is called the #Barnes Big Lift Challenge and it is in aid in aid of funds for the NHS and honouring a great club rugby man Gary Garrett who tragically lost his life to Covid.
The video explaining what the challenge is has already gone viral online!

The fundraiser wants it’s participants to lift over a million kilogram of weight over their heads in a given time period.
People can then donate to the challenge.
We were taken aback by how many rugby stars had posted on their wall with this message of support.
Rugby stars from around the UK have decided to post incredible messages in support of this.
Elliot Daly and Billy Vunipola pledged their support here.

It was brilliant to see the front row family show their support.
Props from all generations of rugby sent their messages of support. England props Kyle Sinckler, Jason Leonard and Joe Marler all sent messages urging fans to take part in the challenge.
This morning we're showing some front row love for our #BarnesRFCBigLift challenge. Thanks to @jasonleonard114 @JoeMarler & @aj_sheridan for getting behind our initiative in honour of Garry Garrett.

How to participate:
A weight can be anything – a barbell, bottle of water, bag of rice, a tin of beans – pretty much anything that you can accurately measure the weight of and safely lift from the ground to above head height repeatedly.
The challenge will start at 9am and run throughout the day until we hit our target – you can lift as much as you want whenever you want once the challenge has started – but be sure to keep track of the amount you’re lifting, perhaps film yourself getting in the reps!
We’ll be using our social media to run events during the day, including a club-wide session led by Joe Gray, the Barnes 1st Team Coach and Harlequins RFC player at 10am on Saturday morning. You will be able to follow that activity through Instagram Live on the barnesrugbyclub Instagram page.
To help keep tally of the weight being lifted, we’ve created teams with team leaders who will gather everyone’s totals in 2hr increments throughout the day. Please see the list below to work out who your team leader will be:
Rugby stars from around the world helping out is what we like to see!
