Sale provide Manu Tuilagi injury update

Every England coach has played their cards very close to their chest over the past two weeks since Manu Tuilagi had to pull out of the Six Nations clash against Wales with a hamstring injury.

The 30-year-old was listed to start at inside centre at Twickenham by Eddie Jones, but had to pull out with yet another hamstring injury having only come back from one suffered in the autumn.

He misses England’s clash with Ireland on Saturday having not been in the England camp over the last two weeks, but his club Sale Sharks offered a slice of good news for fans today. Sale shared a photo of the centre training, alongside the caption “Manu Tuilagi with full working legs!”Β

This will be a picture that fills England fans with a lot of confidence regarding his availability for the final round of the Championship against France. Should England get past Ireland on Saturday, which many do not expect them to do, the challenges only get harder with a trip to the Stade de France. If England stand any chance of derailing Les Bleus this year and potentially stopping their Grand Slam party, Tuilagi is needed. Well England may have been given the sign they were hoping for.
