Sonny Bill Williams names ‘hands down the toughest player’ he ever played with
In a glory laden career where he won almost everything there is to win in either code, Sonny Bill Williams has played with his fair share of all time great players.
So when the two time rugby union World Cup winner and two time NRL champion calls a player “hands down the toughest player” that he has ever played with, that is quite some title to give someone. So former Australia rugby league international Mark O’Meley can feel pretty proud of himself today.
Williams’ former Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs teammate has a highlights reel that is impressive and terrifying in equal measure, as he knocked out a string of players during his career with a series of brutal carries. The former All Black was reunited with O’Meley recently at the Bulldogs’ Belmore Sports Ground, where they reminisced a time where Williams “flogged” the Australian.
