Fans left dreaming of move to Euro giants for Danny Cipriani after latest photos

With the future of recently dropped Scotland fly-half Finn Russell up in the air at Racing 92, hopes that he could be replaced by former England No10 Danny Cipriani were ignited today after photos posted on social media.

The 16-cap England international has been without a club since leaving Bath at the end of last season, and amid rumours that he might be moving to the United States to play in Major League Rugby, he gave his former Wasps teammate Christian Wade a visit in Paris this week.

Wade recently joined Racing after a stint in the NFL, and scored on his return back to rugby union. Fans are now left to dream that he can convince his former teammate to make the same move, which is something that many people would want to see. Even at the age of 34, Cipriani could still do a job in the French capital, particularly with players like Gael Fickou, Warrick Gelant and Christian Wade outside him. And let’s face it, after a year of playing for Bath, he deserves a move like this.

These were the photos Wade and Cipriani posted on their Instagram stories:

Pretty much every Test fly-half out there seems to be linked with Racing 92 at the moment, with Northampton Saints’ departing No10 Dan Biggar and the All Blacks’ Beauden Barrett both on the club’s radar. However, in the meantime, no one would complain if Cipriani had a short spell at La Defense Arena, and possibly play alongside Russell. That is a 10-12 or 10-15 combination that we all want to see, and tries would be guaranteed.

Racing have not had a great start to their Top 14 season and are languishing in eleventh place with three wins and four losses to their name. Life doesn’t get much easier for them this weekend either, as they host reigning champions Montpellier.
