FOOTAGE: Undeniable PROOF that forward passes at now legal in Rugby Union

Before you all lose it, the player was stationary when he threw this, so his motion can’t be what makes this ball go forward.

The ref claims it goes backward out of the hand, but if he’s stationary, how can this be physically true, if the ball lands 5 metres forward from where he passed it?

Could the ball have changed direction in the air?
