WATCH: Social media in uproar after Castres reach unfound levels of thuggery against Munster
It was quite the weekend with Champions Cup rugby, but one of the main talking points in the Castres vs Munster match, where the French side appeared to not play in the spirit of the game.
Twitter page Three Red Kings, a Munster fan page, GIF’ed up many Castres unpunished incidents and it makes for quite an appealing representation of last year’s Top 14 champions.

You know you're in for a long day when this nonsense (followed up by a kick) happens right infront of the AR. pic.twitter.com/o9BT1UCT6d

How this was missed, I'll never know. Cloete was tangling for a ball in the build up to the Castres try. Kockott reaches out, away from the ball, and rakes his fingers over Cloete's eye pic.twitter.com/CGj8oF8dQJ

The AR (same one as before) is right there looking at it because the ball is less than a foot away. It's clearly visible on the broadcast and Cloete complains directly to the AR to no effect. You can see Kockott feel out for Cloete's head to get a good rake. pic.twitter.com/2BcHOQm1E5

And then a shoulder shot long after the play has stopped for good measure. pic.twitter.com/GadIoAEi3o

A few seconds earlier, O'Mahony had been taken out by a no arms tackle with a flip that saw him land on his shoulders. pic.twitter.com/9jcyoQFVCA

How can you watch these and say the referee didn’t have an absolute shocker. The linesmen were at fault too here.
