New video proves that Owen Farrell is in fact the VICTIM of targeted attacks in World Rugby
Owen Farrell is hated by many that is a fact. But it turns out that he may in fact be the victim of attacks from other teams in the sport.
Owen Farrell is without a doubt the main man in English rugby. He was instrumental in England’s successful World Cup campaign in the Autumn and he is central to everything that is good about the English game. It’s interesting to see in this video that Farrell is actually on the receiving end of a lot of flak from players.
The Rugby World Cup as a whole was marred by a string of unsavoury tackle incidents, with officials complaining about how this area of the game is being managed. Farrell himself has earned a bit of a bad reputation in the rugby world with his tackle techniqie. Farrell has earned himself the nickname of “Shoulder Boy” because of these incidents.
Somebody online released this compilation named, “Owen Farrell – The Anti Hero”.
It seems initially, that this video was released to paint Owen Farrell as a bad person, but in reality, this video makes him the victim!
In the highlight reel, there are many separate incidents where Farrell is singled out and attacked by different players in the video.
His former Saracens teammate Schalk Brits give him a nasty elbow to the face back in 2013 when the Lions took on the Barbarians before their tour of Australia.
World Cup winner Faf de Klerk also appears to get unnecessarily frisky with him back in 2018.
And then most recently we saw All Black Sam Whitelock swipe him in the World Cup semi-final when England dusted them up to reach the final.

You can clearly see that Farrell is the one on the receiving end of a lot of these attacks and it does show that Farrell is not always the one to blame.
