Nic White confronted by Bok fans at airport in Adelaide

There were scary scenes at Adelaide airport when Wallabies scrumhalf Nic White was confronted by an angry mob of South African rugby fans.

White was assaulted on the pitch by the much larger Faf de Klerk during Australia’s win over the Boks, but somehow the Bok fans are blaming the victim instead of the perpetrator.

You can clearly hear the video in which the fan shout at White: “Hey Nic, whooooahh bu-bu burrr burrr! [intelligible]. We thought you weren’t going to make it! I thought you were in the ICU my bro!”

It was very scary and even 6’10, 125kg Rory Arnold looked pretty skittish having to face off against the mob of baying Bokke lunatics.

White – who is thankfully up and about – was luckily able to walk through the airport unaided and in the end, no security had to intervene to break up the rabid Bokke rabble.

Dave Rennie’s Wallabies are sitting second on the Rugby Championship ladder at the halfway point of the competition and could win it this year if the Argies don’t follow up their victory over the All Blacks yesterday.

The brave men in green and gold will play the South Africans again in Sydney at the brand new Allianz Stadium this coming Saturday. Expect fireworks when they do.

Marika Koroibete was particularly good against the Boks. Rennie said so himself: “He’s incredible and what you see on Saturdays is what you see every day at training – he is just full on,” Rennie said.

“If we kick a ball, he is at full pace chasing, he is concrete when he hits, his work ethic is phenomenal, I haven’t seen another winger like it.

“He’s not a big man but powerful and and he’s all over the park. You have a look at his numbers, they’re outrageous.”
