Wales prepare to sue the Internet after ChatGPT’s All-Time Six Nations XV
The Guinness Six Nations did the most 2023 thing possible recently by letting AI chatbot ChatGPT select the All-Time Six Nations XV, and it is pretty good.
The team is loaded with past Championship winners, Player of the Championship recipients, and just all round legends. However, there is maybe one glaring omission that those from Wales will not be happy with.
While Warren Gatland was selected as coach, and Adam Jones, Sam Warburton, Mike Phillips and Shane Williams were selected as players, arguably Wales’ greatest ever player, and almost certainly of this century, Alun Wyn Jones, missed out.
With five Six Nations titles, including three Grand Slams, to his name, the lock is the most decorated player of the modern era, and also has the second-most caps in the competition’s history- one behind Sergio Parisse.
But Jones was nudged out by Paul O’Connell and Martin Johnson, who are equally legends of the game. Perhaps the fact that Johnson only played in four instalments of the Six Nations, albeit winning three of them, is maybe a reason why the Welsh great should get the nod ahead of him.
Everyone in Wales has a right to be outraged by this.
