England front row dominate U20 Championship as Quins hooker goes on rampage

England’s front row are continuing to make a name for themselves at this year’s World Rugby U20 Championship.

After a powerful scrummaging display from props Asher Opoku-Fordjour and Afolabi Fasogbon in round one against Ireland, with Sale Sharks Opoku-Fordjour also scoring a remarkable try, it was Harlequins hooker Nathan Jibulu who got in on the action in round three against Australia.

Following a skilful link-up with Opoku-Fordjour in the middle of the field, Jibulu broke the Australian defensive line in the first half to put scrum-half Charlie Bracken in for a try. That was only just the beginning though, as Jibulu scored a try himself in the second half, showing some pace which looked to catch the Australian defence off guard.

Both were huge statements from the hooker, but perhaps his assist was the better showcase of what he is capable of, as he showed his running lines, pace and handling.
