Fijian trio tear European giants to shreds

Toulon arrived at Top 14 strugglers Castres on Saturday on a five match winning streak and sitting near the top of the league table, but left with some very unpleasant memories of Fijian trio Filipo Nakosi, Vilimoni Botitu and Josaia Raisuqe.

The Fijian triumvirate terrorised the three time European champions at the Stade Pierre-Fabre almost from minute one. The match was only six minutes old when Nakosi, brother of Josua Tuisova, was storming down the left wing to put fullback Julien Dumora in for a try, and that was just the beginning.

Fast forward 40 minutes and Botitu was intercepting a pass to run in a try from 50 metres. He had a lot of work to do when he received the ball though, but produced a sidestep to leave the covering Dan Biggar looking lost and confused in his own half.

Toulon kept themselves in the match though, but Raisuqe bundled over on 68 minutes to give Castres an unassailable 31-18 lead.
