Posolo Tuilagi manhandles 230kg-worth of forwards on his own try line

How long before Posolo Tuilagi is playing for France? The 19-year-old is surely on Fabien Galthie’s radar, and could well be part of his plans post World Cup. The 19-year-old will be if he keeps showing some of the freakish feats of strength that he did in Perpignan’s opening match of the season.

Up against Stade Francais at home in the Top 14 on Saturday, the 149kg lock found himself defending his line on plenty of occasions as his side lost 29-7. But that also gave him the chance to show off some of his freakish strength.

The Parisian side were camped on Perpignan’s line at one point, where 122kg opposite man Baptiste Pesenti carried the ball straight into Tuilagi with 107kg flanker Romain Briatte helping drive him over the line. Instead of scoring though, they found themselves both being held up by the France under-20 international, who then proceeded to chuck them out of the mini maul that had developed. That is almost 230kg of professional rugby players that Tuilagi was able to discard with relative ease.

Take a look at that feat of strength:
