Wallabies front row competition ends in all out war

Three Australian front rows were pitted against each other this week to see which one was the fastest as they prepare for their second match against Argentina this weekend.

Props Taniela Tupou and Allan Ala’alatoa were joined by hooker Folau Fainga’a to see which one was the most explosive. The trio had to drag a sled five to ten metres from a standing start to show which one had the most explosive power. Tupou came away victorious, and the aftermath of the race showed that there was a lot on the line.

Fainga’a chased after Tupou and attacked him, while Ala’alatoa coughed up his money, as there was obviously a wager between the two tightheads.

Take a look at the race:

All three featured in the first round of the Rugby Championship last Saturday in the 41-26 victory over the Pumas in Mendoza, with both Fainga’a and Ala’alatoa starting and Tupou replacing the latter on 53 minutes. Ala’alatoa has been withdrawn from round two this Saturday in San Juan for personal reasons, and will likely be replaced by Tupou in the starting XV.
