Archived footage reveals the time new Scotland captain Stuart Hogg violated England in 2012
Let us take you back to 2012, a simpler time for many. The year of the London Olympics, the Queens Diamond Jubilee, and the time a 19-year-old Stuart Hogg violated a young England team.
Many Englands fans at the time weren’t happy about what did to an England player after he scored a sensational 60-metre try.
In a game between the English Saxons and the Scotland A team, a fresh-faced and full headed Hogg ran ragged against England, making a serious name for himself at the time.
Stuart Hogg was named Scotland captain today in their 35-man Six Nations squad…

In the match, England were thrashed by Scotland in a game which ended 35-0.
In the time since this match, Hogg has certainly earned himself a reputation in the World of Rugby. He scored his first try against France on 26 February, 2012 in a 23-17 defeat at 19 years and 247 days of age, making him and which still makes him the youngest Six Nations try scorer in the Six Nations era (2000- present). At the time, was the youngest try scorer for Scotland in the Five/Six Nations since 1933 (Ken Fyfe).
In the Rugby World Cup Hogg started at full-back in all of Scotland’s five matches at RWC 2015. Recorded his first RWC points on 27 September, 2015, when he converted a penalty in a 39-16 triumph against USA.
He is a distant relative of late Manchester United and Northern Ireland football icon George Best.
Hogg really truly burst onto the scene for Scotland in this game, but there was also some controversy about this celebration against England, where Hogg seemed to drop a ball onto the head of an England player once he scored.
You can be sure if he celebrated like this at Twickenham then there would certainly be a different reaction to this.
That run was purely violated from Hogg!
