Eddie Jones claims England were spied on in training session

The mind games are in full swing, were England spied on?

Eddie Jones and England had a press conference today in the lead up to their semi-final world cup clash with New Zealand. Jones himself seemed to be in a brilliant mood as the team prepared to take on New Zealand, who are hoping to win a third consecutive World Cup campaign.

England will be hoping to reach a World Cup final where they will face either Wales or South Africa.

The press conference today took a weird turn when Eddie Jones mentioned that someone was filming his team at training this morning.

Jones is well known for his mental mind games ahead of big matches. In recent memory, Jones has been known to do this with Warren Gatland a lot ahead of their Six Nations matches, it does not always pay off.

Eddie Jones spoke about the pressure that England were under…

“We don’t have any pressure, mate. Put up your hand if you think we can win. There you go, so no one. No one thinks we can win. There are 120 million Japanese people out there whose second team are the All Blacks. So there’s no pressure on us, we’ve just got to have a great week, enjoy it, relax. Train hard and enjoy this great opportunity we’ve got, whereas they’ve got to be thinking about how they’re looking for their third World Cup and so that brings some pressure.”

Jones was certainly on fine form after the claim that England were spied on. He also called the NZ rugby media, fans with keyboards…

When reporters asked Eddie Jones to clarify when he said England were spied on he said…

“There was definitely someone in the apartment block filming but it might have been a Japanese fan. Don’t care, mate. We have got someone there (at New Zealand training) now, mate.”

Here is the video evidence of this, what do you make of it? Do you think England really were spied on today in training?

Watch the video here, it’s really quite hard to tell if he’s being serious.
