‘Fair play to Leinster for organising a game against the All Blacks’- Ireland fans react to XV vs All Blacks
Andy Farrell’s decision to start twelve Leinster players against the All Blacks this weekend has understandably not gone down too well in some parts of Ireland.
Munster’s Andrew Conway, Ulster’s Iain Henderson and Connacht’s Bundee Aki are the three non-Leinster players starting at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, with some fans on Twitter congratulating them for making the Leinster squad. This XV has been the butt of jokes for many fans, with many looking forward to Leinster vs New Zealand- which has been a recurrent joke among Ireland fans this year with whomever they are playing.
Other fans have pointed out that this was more or less the team that tore Japan apart last week, so Farrell’s decision to refrain from making too many changes is justified. On top of that, these are all established internationals who have earned their spot in the XV.
This is what has been said:
Fair play to Leinster for organising a game against the all blacks, unusual to see club teams play international sides these days!
