Fiji score the ultimate Fijian try

There are some things on a rugby field that can only be done by Fiji, and they make it look very easy.

Fiji came away with the bronze medal in Sydney at the weekend, beating France in the bronze final having already beaten them already earlier in that leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens series. They really put on a show in the final though, winning 29-5 and playing some liquid rugby in the process.

One try of their in particular was Fiji at their best- a quick lineout, an over the shoulder pass and a one handed offload. Alasio Naduva finished the move off, but he had his teammates to thank for some delicious rugby.

Take a look:

Fiji lost to South Africa in the semi final, who went on to lose 38-0 to New Zealand in the final. Having lost in the final the week before in Wellington, New Zealand captain Sam Dickson said: “I’m so proud of the boys, we’ve been trying a while now, making a few finals but just missing out.

“It was an unreal tourney for us, it’s about time we had a polished performance like that.

“Our main goal was to qualify for the Olympics and to win the World Series. This is an absolute bonus.”
