Hogg could be cited for tussle with Slade in bizarre off the ball incident
International stars Stuart Hogg and Henry Slade clashed in a bizarre incident during Exeter Chiefs’ Champions Cup match with the Bulls in Sandy Park.
The pair tussled for a brief second after Slade scored a wonderful try. The clash was momentary and the pair were soon embracing, clearly happy to move and return to thrashing the Bulls.
The Chiefs were whipping the Bulls so badly that they clearly had time to get into with each other as opposed to their South African opposition, giving the pair a well-deserved rest from battering the useless Bulls.
The question now is will Hogg be cited for making contact with the eye area of Slade? Hopefully, he won’t as it looked like a fairly innocuous incident.
Slade and Hogg are both highly talented and experienced rugby players who currently play for the Exeter Chiefs in the Gallagher Premiership, one of the top professional leagues in England.
Slade, who plays as a center, has been with the Chiefs since 2013 and has become a key player for the team. He has also played internationally for England, representing his country at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and earning over 40 caps to date. Slade is known for his excellent passing and kicking skills, as well as his solid defense.
Hogg, who plays as a fullback, joined the Chiefs in 2020 after spending the previous eight seasons with the Glasgow Warriors in the Pro14 league. He has also played internationally for Scotland, earning over 70 caps and playing in three Rugby World Cups. Hogg is known for his speed, agility, and attacking prowess, and is considered one of the best fullbacks in the world.
