France fans respond with Rassie-esque video with Etzebeth in firing line

Rassie Erasmus has made quite an enemy of France fans this week following the Springboks’ loss to Les Bleus, which should come as no surprise at all.

The Bok director of rugby and his band of bitter YouTubers have littered social media this week of clips of mistakes that referee Wayne Barnes might or might not have made in Marseille on Saturday, which now seems to be an inevitability every time the Boks lose a match.

Well France fans have begun to fight back this week with their own clips to show where some decisions fell on the side of the Boks. Sure, their videos don’t have the production quality of some of the blockbusters released by Bok fans, but these are early days for other fans in producing salty videos.

One thing that plenty of Bok fans have picked up on this week was a carry by France fullback Thomas Ramos where he appeared to lead with the forearm into the head of Cheslin Kolbe. While that does appear to be the case, France supporters have shared an incident where Eben Etzebeth did the same thing alongside this caption: “Surprisingly, Rassie Erasmus did not publish this video where Eben Etzebeth charges elbow forward and jumps on Marchand. Surely an oversight on his part.”
