Referee gets completely decked by No9 after controversial call
Taranaki No9 Logan Crowley decided to take the law into his own hands on Sunday against Wellington in the Bunnings NPC.
Just minutes after his teammate Ruben Love had his head almost swiped clean off by Wellington hooker Asafo Aumua, who only saw a yellow card, he had an opportunity to exact revenge on referee Stu Curran. With the ref standing just centimetres away from a ruck, Crowley fired the ball from point blank range into the face of Curran.
The referee crashed onto his knees before Crowley went and apologised, in what was actually a complete accident in truth. Take a look:
