Runaway England prop obliterates half the Ireland team at World Championship
There were plenty of players that would have caught the eye of England fans on Saturday after their under-20 side battled their way to a 34-34 draw with Grand Slam winners Ireland in the opening round of the World Rugby Under-20 Championship.
One of those players was certainly loosehead prop Asher Opoku-Fordjour, who went over for a first half try that was as terrifying as it was impressive. The Sale Sharks man crossed the line for England’s first try of the match at Paarl Gimnasium, and left a trail of Irish tacklers in his wake as he ran in from the 22. Three forwards were not able to stop him, so there was not much hope for fullback Henry McErlean after Opoku-Fordjour had built up a head of steam. As expected, the No15 was more or less trampled on as the prop made his way to the line.

It was not just his carrying that was impressive against Ireland though, as Opoku-Fordjour produced a powerful scrummaging display alongside tighthead Afolabi Fasogbon. Take a look at some of their handiwork:
