VIDEO: Andy Goode is left baffled at Eddie Jones’ decision to pick a Sedbergh Schoolboy over Henry Trinder

Eddie Jones 34-man squad left many England supporters very pleased. The inclusions of players such as Jack Willis and Danny Cipriani has pleased many of Jones’ critics supporting his decision to opt with youth and flair over some of his older decisions.

However other decisions have puzzled pundits and fans alike. The call up of Cameron Redpath over other options such as Henry Trinder has baffled Andy Goode, who believes that the Sedbergh School prospect is not ready for International grade rugby yet.

As Goode says:

Cameron Redpath has played a few LV cup games, he’s still at school and he’s got a very bright future. Players like Joe Simmonds are on unbelievable form, yet you’re taking players like Cameron Redpath who has not played a minute in the Premiership.

It’s difficult to argue with this observation as it is hard to envisage Redpath being anywhere near the World Cup squad come this time next year.
