‘It was just the perfect pass’- Offload frenzy creates wonder try
Western Province scored a try so skilful and flamboyant at the weekend that the Fijian sevens team would have been proud to have scored it.
The try was scored by fullback Clayton Blommetjies against the Bulls in the Currie Cup, but he has his teammates Jean-Luc du Plessis and Ruhan Nel to thank.
Inside centre du Plessis lit up Loftus Versfeld in the second half with a Sonny Bill Williams-esque left handed offload around two tacklers to Nel. The winger darted down the flank and produced another one handed offload, although maybe not as spectacular, for Blommetjies to finish in the corner.
Western Province were trailing 33-25 at that point, but went on to win the match 41-33.
