Everyone is saying the same thing about the game at Exeter Chiefs today
Exeter Chiefs were up against Northampton Saints in the Gallagher Premiership today.
The reigning champions hosted the midlands side at Sandy Park in an attritional clash in Devon.
There was one thing about proceedings, however, that many viewers seemed to point out.
We’ve picked out a clip from Twitter that shows what fans have been talking about.

Fans, of course, were quick to point out the poor playing conditions at the home of Exeter Chiefs – with the sides having to play in ‘swamp-like’ conditions in Devon.
Despite the boggy terrain, both sides still looked to play an expansive running game. Fans certainly didn’t hold back on social media earlier today.

What is wrong with Sandy park pitch. It’s mud. Hardly and grass to show.

@ExeterChiefs Your pitch is an embarrassment! COYS! @SaintsRugby

What an awful pitch… can’t remember Sandy Park (it needs some) looking so poor

It’s probably just me, but I quite like the old school, shithouse, mud bath pitch at Exeter Chiefs. Just like playing against BA at The Concorde Club in the rain. pic.twitter.com/iUQr3l4Mib

@ExeterChiefs your pitch is bloody awful..it’s harks back to the Leicester and Bath pitches of 2/3 years ago. Your ground staff need a severe kick in the arse.

Are @ExeterChiefs celebrating ‘history week’ with a throwback to the County Ground pitch today?

Great to see @ExeterChiefs diversifying into farming, pitch looks freshly ploughed, wonder what they are planning on growing?
