Revealed: Sickening audio of the Joe Marler incident leaked
The full and truly shocking words used by mental health advocate Joe Marler against Bristol Bears loose forward Jake Heenan have come to light thanks to the internet.
The comedic prop bombed on stage when he called Heenan’s mother a whore. Marler didn’t know that Heenan’s mother is in hospital with cancer, which is clearly no laughing matter.
The comments kicked off a fight. A video has been released of the incident and you can hear exactly what Marler said.
Marler received a ban for his behavior on the field. Marler was reportedly heard using inappropriate language towards an opponent, NZ player Jake Heenan.
Many are calling the ban a farce, including former England player Andy Goode, who stated that Marler’s actions were simply “part and parcel of the game.” Goode went on to argue that such behavior should not be accepted as part of the sport and that players should be punished for it.
Many argue that such language and behavior is completely unacceptable and has no place in the game. In today’s society, there is a growing awareness of the need to promote respect and inclusivity in all aspects of life, including sports. Using derogatory language towards an opponent is not only hurtful, but it also undermines the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play.
Furthermore, it is important to recognize that such language can have a lasting impact on players and can contribute to a culture of aggression and disrespect within the sport. While it may be true that such behavior has been tolerated in the past, it is time for a change.
Here is the audio from the Marler incident.

In Rugby Onslaught’s opinion, Marler’s ban is a necessary step towards promoting a more respectful and inclusive culture within the sport of rugby. It is essential that players are held accountable for their actions and that the sport sets a positive example for players and fans alike.
