VIDEO: Steve Diamond can expect a fine after these post-match referee comments
Sale Sharks were camped on Exeter’s line with 2 minutes to go and trailing 4 points, and had an advantage for an Exeter infringement. However, after peeling off a ruck TJ Ioane goes to ground before a Sale forward clears the ruck, going off his feet but with absolutely no advantage to Sale.
The ref pings it and Sale lose a potential famous win at home. In the postmatch interview Diamond was understandably irate. He can now expect a fine for these post-match comments.
