Sorry Wales struggle against Italy as fans call for Pivac’s resignation
Wales ground out an unconvincing victory over Italy this evening in a result that has piled more pressure onto the struggling side.
The Welsh, who came into this encounter on a torrid run of form, found themselves close to a crisis with the Italians looking like favourites to win for long periods of the match.
Fans were furious with the ‘unacceptable’ performance on social media immediately following the full time whistle.
It was the Welsh who opened the scoring after a brilliant linebreak from Justin Tipuric.
The flanker raced away deep into the Italian half before giving it on the inside to the onrushing support of scrum-half Kieran Hardy who rolled over to score next to the posts.

The hosts built their lead to make the score 14-3 before the visitors had a chance to hit back with this delicate kick through for Marco Zanon to chase.
The centre gathered well before rolling over to score – bringing the Azzuri right back into the contest.

The Italians rallied but ill-discipline in their own half gave the Welsh a foothold to work their way into the opposition half and they managed to claw back a pivotal score to take his side back into the lead.
After ringing the changes the Welsh found a new gear that the visitors struggled to live with and a try from George North all but killed off any chance of an Italian comeback.
Justin Tipuric scored late on off the back of a Toby Faletau break to offer a flattering scoreline to the hosts at 38-18.
Wales managed to avert a catastrophic loss – but the damage was done for many who felt nothing but a one-sided win would be enough to save Pivac’s job. Fans were quick to take to social media following the result.
Sorry Wales this is utter dog shit. Pivac is clueless.

If anyone blames the Wales coaches for this performance, they need a kick up the arse. This is out and out poor player discipline and terrible execution of basic, BASIC skills. #WALvITA

Wales are clueless again. Lineout terrible, Sheedy just popping balls on to forwards.

Wales are absolutely awful.
I’m sorry, but there needs to be some big change. Pivac hasn’t worked, we look absolutely aimless.

Fair play, Wales keeping Italy in this game by conceding idiotic penalties.
